Sunny Beach, Bourgas
Sunny Beach resort is located 35km away from the city of Bourgas and is the biggest and liveliest sea resort in Bulgaria. The city of Bourgas is the second largest city on the Black Sea coast and is situated in the western part of Bourgas Bay and 390 km east of Sofia. Bourgas also provides easy access to the capital, the flight time is approximately 40 minutes. The railway also provides fast easy access to other major cities around the country.

The resort of Sunny Beach is easy to reach from the UK and is approximately a 3 hour flight, there is an international airport located at Bourgas and numerous charter flights operate from the UK's airports. The airport is located only 13km (8 miles) from Bourgas and there is a regular bus service that runs and connects to Sunny Beach and the city centre. Taxis are also readily available at a low cost. The transfer time from the airport to Sunny Beach resort is approximately 35 minutes.

Sunny Beach is a wide semi circular bay facing east with a stretch of over 8km of sandy beach, which has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag. It has the widest beach strip, with over 100 hotels dotted along the beach and among the sand dunes. A clean and gentle sloping sea makes this an ideal choice for beach lovers and families.

There are plenty of water activities to keep you entertained including surfing, water skiing, banana boats, sailing and paddle boats. Tennis, beach volleyball, mini golf, bowling is also available. In the evening the entertainment doesn't stop, there is a huge choice of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and casinos.

The summer holiday season begins in May and ends in October, although July and August are the busiest months. The constant temperature of about 27°C and the microclimate of Sunny Beach throughout the season make it a wonderful destination. July is one of the hottest months of the year and receives between 10-11 hours of sunshine a day.
