Budapest is a cultural Mecca

Budapest is a cultural Mecca and maintains its magic and charm. The city possesses a rich and fascinating history and is divided into two halves (Buda and Pest) by the river Danube.

Today Budapest is home to a population of 1.8 million people and the demand for property continues to increase. As the capital of Hungary the city dominates the Hungarian economy, attracting 60% of total foreign investment. In the city centre areas, the demand for accommodation is high and new apartments have been built to meet this requirement. Apartments represent the best value for money and this has encouraged mass regeneration and construction throughout the city. Some sources state that annual appreciation is on average 16% in Budapest and that rental yields reach on average 6%. In other major European cities, properties are currently selling for many times the cost of a property in Budapest. For example the city of Vienna is less than 3 hours away by train and apartments are up to 2 to 3 times more expensive.
