Located in this District is The Museum of Contemporary Art, which displays the modern exhibits of the art collecting husband and wife Peter and Irene Ludwig. The museum concentrates on the last fifty years of modern art and the last ten years of modern Hungarian art in particular.
The new National Theatre has also been built in this area, construction began in September 2000 and it was built in record breaking speed and was completed in 15 months. Together with the open-air stage, the area of the theatre is 20,844 square metres.
